About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team at the Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, including handling room assignments, key cards, and other guest requests.
- Manage the Front Office operations, including handling guest complaints, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Front Office Manager and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with hotel policies, procedures, and services, and communicate this information to guests as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the growth and success of the hotel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Front Office or Guest Services role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred.
