We are seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will assist in quantity surveying activities, including preparing tender and contract documents, conducting cost analysis, and managing project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and cost estimation for construction projects, taking into account various factors and variables.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate project cost estimates and effective project delivery.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, monitoring expense patterns, and identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Support the team in assessing and evaluating subcontractor tenders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and claims, providing clear and concise information to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the resolution of contractual and commercial issues, working closely with the project team and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, such as Construction Management or Building Surveying.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying or a construction-related role, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide accurate cost estimates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets and documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools, such as Autodesk or Trimble, is highly desirable.
