Area Sales Manager

Are you a sales professional looking for a new challenge in the South East region? We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at BMS Performance.

About the Role:

  • Target independent retail sector, including garden centers, DIY stores, petrol stations, and farm shops across the South East of the UK.
  • Sell a market-leading brand of eco-friendly solid fuels, such as logs, kindling, firelighters, and BBQ coal, used in domestic settings.
  • Field-based role, spending at least 3 days on the road visiting account base, with pre-planned visits and drop-ins, and 2 days in the home office generating demand on the phone and via Teams.
  • Manage a portfolio of over 500 spending accounts in the region, striving to build them up and achieve at least 10% growth year on year.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of selling to independent merchants, DIY, and garden centre sectors.
  • Natural relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and high presentation standards.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator, with a clean driving license and willingness to travel extensively.

The Company:

BMS Performance is a well-established brand in the solid fuel sector, building on recent successes and moving into their busiest period over the winter months.

The Package:

  • Basic salary: £45,000.
  • Up to 40% commission scheme.
