Lead Ruby Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Ruby Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our backend system architecture. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for guiding technical discussions and leading the implementation of our Ruby-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design and software architecture of our Ruby-based systems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Ruby code, ensuring adherence to best practices and engineering standards
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure clear communication and alignment between business, product, and engineering objectives
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Commercial experience building products with Ruby/Ruby on Rails
  • Advocate for engineering best practices, including development, security, and accessibility
