Job Title: Lead Ruby Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ruby Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Ruby Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a small, lean, and high-performing Ruby team, taking ownership of the backend system architecture, and guiding technical discussions and implementation with Ruby.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical design and software architecture of the backend system.
  • Guide technical discussions and implementation with Ruby.
  • Take ownership of the Ruby team, providing line management and hands-on technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to ensure clear communication and alignment between business, product, and engineering objectives.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices when it comes to development, security, and accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Commercial experience building products with Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster a collaborative and transparent culture.
  • Ability to lead technical designs and software architecture.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Knowledge of TDD and other best practices.
