Compensation:
£35,000-£37,000, plus a monthly performance-related bonus scheme of up to 10%

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Specialist to join our client's thriving team in Harlow, Essex.

About the Company:
Our client is a highly successful Engineering firm with a multi-million pound turnover, experiencing remarkable growth in recent years. They operate across diverse sectors, including Automotive and Healthcare, and are currently seeking an Estimating Specialist to enhance their team based at their local offices.

Role Overview:


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Estimating Specialist will play a crucial role in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as preparing quotations and tenders on behalf of the organization.

You will engage directly with clients to meet their requirements.

Additionally, you will collaborate with a team to ensure precise estimates are generated and that projects are costed according to guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure stable, transparent, and traceable market-driven cost structures and provide accurate costing and pricing figures to the business development team.
• Support the development, implementation, and optimization of market-driven costings while managing and analyzing all materials related to a project.
• Estimate costs based on client inquiries.
• Estimate manufacturing and assembly durations.
• Gather information on materials, purchased items, and lead times.
• Produce precise costing estimates in response to customer requests and product developments.
• Confidently read and assess 2D and 3D drawings/model files.
• Ensure customer expectations are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare quotes and submissions, compiling bids effectively.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues regarding product setup, routings, and other technical aspects.
• Participate in New Product Introduction initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:
• Strong analytical skills
• Background in sheet metal work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Capability to coordinate and work independently
• Familiarity with CAD software
