Job Title: Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Coordinator to join our Ophthalmology team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a challenging and rewarding role. As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing the attendance of patients to outpatient, inpatient, and day case appointments, ensuring that all administrative processes are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and organize patient appointments and bookings
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and databases
  • Provide exceptional customer care and communication with patients and staff
  • Assist with the supervision and leadership of the administrative team
  • Monitor and report on waiting times and RTT pathways
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. You will also need to have a strong understanding of administrative processes and procedures, with the ability to maintain accurate records and databases.
