We are excited to announce a new opportunity at LBW Drinks Ltd. (Lyme Bay Winery). We are seeking a Trade / Customer Marketing Manager who will serve as a vital link between our sales and marketing teams, utilizing your expertise and enthusiasm to bring our brands to life for both customers and consumers.
The ideal candidate will possess a results-oriented mindset and the capability to manage multiple projects effectively, all while contributing to the ambitious goals of Lyme Bay. Exceptional organizational skills, along with a keen attention to detail and precision, are essential attributes for this role.
This position is based primarily in our office, providing an excellent opportunity to engage deeply with our diverse offerings, from English Wine to Mead, and to play a crucial role in fostering growth and success within the competitive beverage industry. Engagement in trade activities and events will be part of your responsibilities.
Your success in this role will be demonstrated through:
- Creating and implementing trade marketing initiatives (preferably within the alcoholic beverage sector), considering a comprehensive range of activities from in-store promotions to public relations and trade advertising.
- Translating your insights into clear, compelling reasons to believe and supporting materials for both sales and marketing teams.
- Enhancing brand visibility through distinctive point-of-sale materials, compliance checks, promotional displays, and quality merchandise.
- Coordinating the sales and brand activity calendar while organizing events, tastings, promotions, and workshops that align with our strategic objectives.
- Generating innovative ideas to encourage product trials and purchases of Lyme Bay brands, alongside managing customer marketing communications, including newsletters and trade publications.
- Assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of trade marketing efforts, leveraging data from sales, finance, operations, and analytics.
- Building strong relationships within the LBW team and demonstrating exceptional customer service skills, characterized by intelligence, passion, and integrity.
To be successful in this role, you should have approximately five years of experience in drinks trade marketing, ideally with exposure to both on- and off-trade environments, and experience working with small agencies and freelancers. A blend of creativity, analytical rigor, and commercial acumen is essential. You should be comfortable transitioning from strategic thinking to practical execution.
Additionally, proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office, familiarity with various social media platforms, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, fluency in English (both written and spoken), and a valid driving license are required.
