Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Trials Assistant to join their Paediatric Research Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the delivery of clinical research studies, providing direct patient care, and administrative support to children and their families.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the delivery of clinical research studies, including direct patient care and administrative support.
  • Organising own workload, including the day-to-day coordination and implementation of delegated studies.
  • Developing and maintaining clinical knowledge and skills to provide a high standard of care to children and their families participating in research.
  • Delivering direct care to participants within the scope of competence, coordinating and undertaking a range of clinical tasks and observations.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A' Level/NVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • Complete Care Certificate or NVQ3/Foundation degree in Healthcare-related subject.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and willingness to undertake further training.

The successful candidate will be a car driver with a full driving license and willing to travel to various locations within the community as per study protocol requirements.
