Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Trials Assistant to join our Paediatric Research Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the delivery of our wide portfolio of studies, working closely with children and their families to provide exceptional care and support.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the delivery of clinical research studies, including direct patient care and administrative support to children and their families.
- Organising own workload, coordinating and implementing delegated studies, and developing and maintaining clinical knowledge and skills.
- Delivering direct care to participants, coordinating and undertaking a range of clinical tasks and observations, including venesection, blood pressure measurement, and anthropometric measurements.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant qualification, such as an A' Level or NVQ3, and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Significant relevant clinical experience in a patient-facing healthcare clinical role, with experience of data management and an interest in clinical research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and work under own initiative and independently.
