Area Support Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Area Support Centre Manager to join our team at Southern Co-op. As a key member of our Funeral Services team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Funeral Service Operatives to deliver exceptional end-of-life client experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage, develop, and mentor a team of Funeral Service Operatives to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement business objectives to ensure all funerals are delivered in a professional, caring, and empathetic manner.
- Complaints Management: Investigate and report on complaints in line with our complaints policy and procedure.
- Bereavement Support: Embrace and endorse our bereavement and aftercare service for individuals, groups, and colleagues.
- Performance Management: Manage all elements of team performance, including regular reviews, recruitment, underperformance, sickness, and absence.
- Financial Management: Deliver key financial KPIs and other financial targets on budget.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Security: Ensure the security of our premises, vehicles, and company equipment.
- Risk Management: Implement and deliver our risk management strategy.
- Community Engagement: Implement and deliver our community engagement business plan.
- Logistical Management: Strong logistical management experience in an operational environment with commercial and financial awareness.
- Funeral Industry Knowledge: Knowledge or experience of a funeral operational environment.
- Leadership Skills: Experienced in developing, coaching, and managing a team through excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator with the confidence to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
- Planning and Organisation: Excellent planning and organisational skills ensuring attention to detail at all times.
- IT Literacy: IT literate and a competent user of MS Office.
- Salary: £36,783
- Annual Leave: 31 days (increasing to 36 days after 10 years' service)
