About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Capita Pension Solutions as a Pensions Implementation Manager, where you will play a key role in delivering high-profile pension projects and driving the direction of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop staff assigned to pension projects, ensuring successful delivery and no penalties are incurred.
  • Deliver new client implementations on time, to budget, and to quality standards, while supporting and developing the team to enable client service excellence.
  • Own and promote best practice within the team, overseeing and signing off process improvements, and delivering what we promise by reviewing and agreeing project plans for identification and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Support Programme/Project Managers in steering projects to successful closure, influencing approach for all project deliverables, and ensuring all projects are resourced appropriately, escalating where this is at risk.
Requirements
  • Strong technical pensions knowledge in DB schemes, with the ability to explain complex matters.
  • Operations background and management and/or leadership skills, with experience of client interaction and dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to evidence previous experience of implementing projects, analyse requirements to ensure output is fit for purpose, and up-to-date with legislation and other policy changes that affect pensions.
  • Detailed understanding and ability to explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE, and Annuities, how they are administered, and a full understanding of system & process implications.
  • Commitment to providing a quality service, with errors identified as part of the checking and sign-off process.
Additional Requirements for a TM Role in the Scheme Benefit Team
  • Pensions Technical: Describe the regulatory bodies and their roles in this sector.
  • Ability to draft proforma and specify complex calculations and operational processes for all pension event types/Scheme types.
