Position Overview
The Computing and Information Services (CIS) department manages a substantial operational budget and a dedicated team of professionals. As an IT Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for staff, students, and visitors, utilizing various communication methods including live chat, self-service portals, telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions to address user inquiries and resolve technical issues.
Your role will involve delivering high-quality, customer-focused support to all users of university IT systems in a timely and professional manner. You will be encouraged to enhance your technical skills and may need to work flexible hours as required. Occasional travel may be necessary for user group meetings or professional development events.
Work Environment
In the near future, the primary location for this role will transition to a new professional services hub designed to foster collaboration and support hybrid working. This modern workspace will enhance our ability to work together effectively.
