Job Summary:
The Student Success Guide is a key role within the Commonwealth of Virginia's educational system, responsible for connecting students with academic and non-academic programs and services. This position requires a friendly and approachable individual who can effectively communicate with students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of NOVA programs and support services, as well as community services.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote student success.
- Respond promptly to student requests and track outcomes to ensure effective support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement student retention strategies.
- Collect, analyze, and manage data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a student support role.
- Proven customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Experience with workshop and event planning, as well as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various support services and promote teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education, college student life, or non-profit services.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to promote awareness of products or services.
