Job Title: Senior Systems Requirements Engineer

About the Role:

Innovate is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Requirements Engineer to join our team of experts in supporting Government, Defence, and National Security initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of major UK programs that have significant implications for the UK public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain systems requirements for complex projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilize Systems Engineering tools, such as DOORS, DRM, Rhapsody, SysML, and Cameo, to capture and manage requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document system requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and testable.
  • Work with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve systems engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide systems engineering standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and collaboration with other teams, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in requirements capture and management.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector domain, procurement projects, and industry processes.
  • History of working in Defence, Intelligence, or Central Government sectors.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering tools, including DOORS, DRM, Rhapsody, SysML, and Cameo.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • History of working in a project management capacity, with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • SC Clearance and willingness to obtain UK Eyes Only DV Level security clearance.
