Position Overview

The Dakota Hotel is looking for a dedicated and diligent individual to become a vital part of our Housekeeping Department in the capacity of Room Attendant.

COMPENSATION AND WORKING HOURS

Compensation is set at £11.50 per hour, with weekly payments, resulting in a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £17,940.

This position offers a permanent contract with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Typical working hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 9am - 3:30pm
  • Saturday: 10am - 4:30pm
  • Sunday: 10:30am - 5pm
Shifts will be scheduled across any 5 days of the week, including regular weekend work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms and en-suite bathrooms, ensuring beds are made and rooms are presented in an immaculate condition.
  • Carry out various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, and lifting items like duvets.
  • Document guest preferences and requests to enhance their stay, such as providing specific pillow types or setting up cots.
  • Maintain knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and proper use of cleaning equipment, including steamers.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, particularly those related to waste management and manual handling.
