Part-time position: 28 hours per week, with a flexible schedule over four days.

A weekend enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be applied for shifts worked between 7am and 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Birnbeck House provides a supportive environment for 13 adults with learning disabilities.

Role Overview

As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure the effective upkeep of the facility and its surroundings.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing designated support staff and ensuring that the safety of the premises and all equipment is maintained through regular inspections and servicing. Tasks may include painting, repairs, replacements, and general upkeep to maintain an appealing environment.

You will also be responsible for vehicle safety and will coordinate repairs conducted by external contractors.

Key Qualifications for Success:

  • Relevant experience in a skilled trade (e.g., plumbing or carpentry) or a similar position.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety principles.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Possession of a Level 3 or 4 qualification in a relevant trade (preferred).
  • A valid driving license (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to adapt to the service's needs.
