Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Operator (Stores) to join our team in a key role. As an Operator (Stores), you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our stores operations.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assisting with the maintenance of stores and inventory management
- Inspecting network assets as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold English and Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects. You will also need to be able to work under your own initiative in a safety-critical environment.
Desirable Skills
It is desirable that you hold a license to drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) up to category C and have experience operating a Fork Lift Truck. You will also need to be mobile throughout the area and have a full driving license.
Working Environment
The working environment requires quick, decisive, and responsible thinking and actions to meet the demands of the role. You will need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
