About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Wastewater directorate as our Head of Wastewater Compliance and Performance. This role will be responsible for setting and delivering the strategy for reporting on compliance and performance across the Wastewater directorate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on environmental permit, business process, and statutory legislation compliance to ensure we meet all legal requirements while maximizing performance opportunities across all Wastewater areas.
  • Lead and influence the development of systems and processes across the Wastewater compliance and performance disciplines.
  • Use intelligent analytics and performance monitoring to provide proactive insight into opportunities to improve Wastewater compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including Ofwat, Environment Agency, Water UK, and UKWIR, to identify opportunities and best practices to improve how the business operates.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with industry peers and internal stakeholders to ensure our organization is at the forefront of innovation and best practice.
About You

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing high levels of compliance and driving a performance culture in an asset management discipline. You will have experience of leading a team through change to implement new corporate systems and changing the ways of working to achieve future outcomes.

You will have a broad and technical understanding of different systems and operating regimes, coupled with a detailed understanding of external factors influencing the industry, including political, economic, social, and technological issues.
