We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apheresis CNS to join our dynamic team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Lipid CNS nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing apheresis procedures within our Lipid Unit at University Hospital Llandough.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake apheresis procedures within the Lipid Unit, working closely with the band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Deliver care to patients in a weekday day care setting, with a focus on optimising their health and well-being.
- Participate in nurse-led clinics, assessing and counselling patients prior to their treatments.
- Contribute to the development of standards of practice and quality improvement initiatives, including auditing, presenting data, and implementing documents.
- Teach and assess in the clinical area, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Requirements- Education to degree level and NMC registration.
- Relevant post-registration experience in the specialty, with evidence of managerial ability and experience.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and lipid conditions, as well as experience of teaching and assessing in the clinical area.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independent prescriber or willing to work towards.
- Non-medical referrer or willing to work towards.
- Previous experience of working in a variety of settings, including venepuncture and cannulation skills.
