Our client is a well-established professional services firm with a substantial presence in the UK and globally.

Job Description

  • Review and prepare complex annual statutory accounts (UK GAAP and IFRS accounts) for large and varied clients.
  • Assist and train junior members of the team and support on technical updates and regulations.
  • Implement IFRS conversions, new standards, and accounting systems.
  • Prepare IFRS statutory accounts and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Support with the valuations of share-based payments and intangible assets.
  • Develop and present technical papers and reports.
  • Deliver webinars and presentations on accounting topics.
  • Implement and maintain accounting processes and systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry rules and regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

A successful Technical Accounting Manager will be an IFRS specialist with a strong background in auditing and international accounting. They will have experience in a managerial role within a complex accounting department.

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a complex accounting department.
  • Strong technical international accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and new and updated standards.
  • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
