Following a successful Series B fundraise, we are embarking on an exciting period of growth and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned executive with a strong track record of driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and leadership. As our Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our day-to-day operations, working closely with our CEO and Leadership team to drive overall business vision and strategy. Your key responsibilities will include optimizing operational processes, improving efficiency and productivity, and ensuring that our business has a solid foundation while maintaining a strong workplace culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize operational processes, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity across the business by implementing scalable processes and systems.
  • Strategic Planning: Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term company objectives developed with the CEO & Leadership team.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage the Operational functions including Business Development, Project Management, Project Design, O&M, and Installations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership roles with at least 5 years experience as a COO or in a similar C-level capacity, ideally within renewable energy or engineering industries.
  • Held an impactful role in a UK-based business that has expanded internationally, ideally within a scale-up environment.
  • Extensive experience in optimizing operational processes and implementing performance metrics to drive efficiency and productivity that have resulted in increased profitability and business growth.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to drive our Sales strategy.
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of effectively managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and stakeholder management.
  • Strong IT skills; ability to use multiple communication tools and packages.
