About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Track Supervisor to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As a Track Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of track renewals and associated works on our major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver track renewals and associated works, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of staff reporting to you, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and budget.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and Engineers to develop work plans, methodologies, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of site resources, materials, and plant, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Undertake site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure clear and timely information exchange with stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in track maintenance and renewal, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, planners, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
