We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Drafter to join our team at Gordon Murray Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality engineering drawings and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Standards and Drawings
    • Develop and implement engineering standards and drawing practices to ensure consistency and quality across all engineering documentation.
    • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.
  • Document Control and Management
    • Establish and maintain document control procedures to manage revisions, approvals, and distribution of engineering drawings.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation updates.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Uphold stringent quality standards in the development of engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with design intent.
    • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with design engineers to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver dedicated GD&T training courses to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and implement engineering methods and processes in line with best practice and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in the creation and development of engineering drawings within the automotive or engineering sector.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in CAD software and in-depth knowledge of engineering standards and drawing practices.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in developing and reviewing technical drawings.
