Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in the heart of London.

About the Role:

  • Support children with a variety of special needs in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Work closely with the SENCO, other LSAs, and outside agencies/therapists
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students inside and outside the classroom
  • Support behaviour, run intervention groups, and support pupils' social, emotional, and mental health

Requirements:

  • Experience and qualifications in special education needs
  • Training and experience in PECs, Makaton, and Team Teach desirable
  • Ability to work in a community-based, mainstream primary school setting

What We Offer:

  • A competitive daily rate of £90-£110
  • A full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm, term time only
