About the Role

As a Regional Admiral Nurse at Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Dementia Care Managers in the operational delivery of our dementia care strategy. Your high visibility in clinical areas will raise awareness, provide practical solutions for families, and support best practices within our care homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialist Nursing Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions, practical advice, and emotional support to families of people with dementia, care team members, and, where appropriate, the individuals themselves.
  • Operational Support: Assist Dementia Care Managers in delivering our dementia care strategy, ensuring a high standard of care across our care homes.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs for care home team members and families living with dementia, enhancing the skills and competencies of the care team.
  • Practice Development: Participate in the development, evaluation, and audit of this specialist area of practice.
  • Bereavement Support: Offer support at all stages, including bereavement, to ensure comprehensive care for families and residents.

Professional Development

You will have the opportunity to access relevant courses and develop professionally, guided by our Admiral Nurse Competency Framework. This framework will help you maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse in dementia care.
