Technical Implementation Architect

Flexible – Romsey | Gloucester | Woking

Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Implementation Architect to join our expanding Corporate Services IT department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement technical solutions for enterprise IT environments
  • Develop and maintain internal IT platforms and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • Systems engineering experience at a technical lead or architectural level
  • Proficiency in vendor technologies such as Microsoft, Amazon (AWS), VMWare, RedHat, or similar
  • Ability to design, support, and maintain internal IT environments, platforms, and services
  • Awareness of Defence or National Security IT standards is preferable

Key Technologies:

  • Corporate Microsoft Estate: Includes 1200+ desktops and hundreds of servers across multiple sites
  • Primarily AWS and Azure, including organisation design (layout), tenancy/account management, security, identity management, service provisioning, and reporting functions
  • Cyber Security and Information Assurance: Managing and maintaining intrusion detection apparatus, supporting queries/investigations, and ensuring hardened configuration of IT equipment
  • Supporting enterprise software teams and their CI/CD requirements using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or SonarQube, among others
