Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) initiatives in Birkenhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving excellence in SHE across the site, ensuring compliance with best practices and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the SHE strategy for the site, aligning it with the company's global vision.
  • Collaborate with site management and supervision to embed a safety culture, promoting employee engagement in SHE activities.
  • Lead the evolution of the SHE Management System, ensuring it meets regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze SHE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing management with statistical analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, including ISO 45001, 14001, 18001, and 9001.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering SHE improvements in a manufacturing environment, with excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation. A NEBOSH Health & Safety Qualification and experience with regulatory compliance are essential. Training qualifications are desirable.

We require the successful candidate to have legal authorization to work in the UK, as we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.
