Safety and Environmental Manager

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for driving Safety, Health, and Environmental excellence across the site, ensuring that best practice and statutory obligations are fully met.

As a partner to the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for embedding a safety culture ensuring full employee engagement in SHE activities to drive a culture of zero harm. You will work closely with the site management and supervision to implement best practices and raise awareness.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering SHE improvements within a manufacturing environment and excellent knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation with practical experience in SHE law. Experience in all regulatory compliance (ISO's 45001, 14001, 18001, 9001 etc) and a NEBOSH Health & Safety Qualification are also essential.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead the continued evolution of the SHE Management System to ensure that it is fit for purpose and delivers the competence required to meet all regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring SHE KPI's and providing management with statistical analysis and taking remedial action where necessary. They will also be responsible for monitoring the implementation of Risk/CoSHH assessments ensuring suitable and sufficient safe working instructions are determined and communicated as appropriate.

We require a highly motivated and experienced individual who can work closely with the site management and supervision to implement best practices and raise awareness. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
