About the Role

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Department, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the overall financial viability of development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate development projects from handover to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Support the Regional Development Director in the efficient running of the business, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Lead and manage the pre-construction process, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
  • Collaborate with the Land, Sales, and Legal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee the commissioning of topographical surveys and technical investigations, reconciling title plans against survey.
  • Seek technical advice on demolition, drainage, services, highways, and foundations from the technical team.
  • Manage predevelopment spend for option and appraisal sites, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with planning agreements.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary specialist teams involved in development proposals, checking Section 106 agreements and other planning agreements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Development Manager or similar role, with a strong background in property and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence others and ensure project delivery.
  • Strong commercial orientation, with the ability to extract maximum value from each project.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, ensuring all aspects of the job are completed to standard and on time.
  • Relevant qualification in a related field, such as property or business administration.
