About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our dedicated Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of providing expert care to patients navigating their journey through the emergency department.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, treatment, and medication administration, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and allied health specialists, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by mentoring junior staff, fostering a positive work environment, and contributing to the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and data analysis to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in emergency nursing practice through continuing education and professional development.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice.
  • Proven experience working in an acute care setting, preferably within an emergency department or CDU.
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to teamwork.
