Job Overview

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery to join our team. As part of our Medical Training Initiative (MTI) program, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the UK's healthcare system.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support inpatient and outpatient cranial and spinal services at our hospital
  • Contribute to the delivery of the on-call regional service for the region
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) services and quality clinical indicators
Key Requirements
  • Part 1 or complete postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in postgraduate training
  • Ability to offer sound clinical opinion on a range of acute medical conditions
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
Desirable Skills
  • Ability to manage and lead medical/surgical teams
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage high-intensity workload
  • Ability to develop, present and operationalise coherent ideas for service development/delivery
