Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified mental health nurse to join our dynamic and supportive Community Mental Health Team in Salford. We are seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work within the team, providing high-quality care to service users and their carers.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will hold and manage a caseload of service users, assessing their needs and accessing community resources and provider services. They will participate in providing quality first-line psychosocial assessments and work proactively with multi-agencies to forge professional working relationships. The post holder will also be expected to work weekends and bank holidays as part of our Acute Care Pathway provision of care.

Person Specification

We are seeking a qualified nurse with experience working in mental health, preferably in a community setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Care Programme Approach Guidelines and be able to work proactively with service users and their carers. Leadership experience and a willingness to develop further are also desirable.
