Transport Coordination Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position offers an engaging work environment where you can thrive.
Compensation: £28,500 per annum.
Working Schedule: Any 5 out of 7 days, from 10am to 6pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontracting and order planning across various warehouse and manufacturing locations throughout the UK.
- Organize daily tasks for a fleet of vehicles, both on-site and off-site.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues through various communication channels including phone, fax, and email.
- Collaborate with Traffic and Administration teams to uphold performance standards.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets and databases for customer reporting.
- Identify and report problems, addressing any arising queries.
- Assist the fleet and driver training team as necessary.
- Conduct pre and post-debrief sessions for all driver shifts.
- Deliver timely and professional communications both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in transport planning within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs, especially during peak periods.
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Capability to identify and propose improvements for the benefit of the company and customers.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with SAP, BPCS, and Road Runner is a plus.
