About the Role

Poundland is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technologist to join our team. As a key ambassador for product quality, you will work collaboratively across wider teams in the business to uphold our brand's integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve product samples, test reports, and gold seals to ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation.
  • Conduct fit-for-use testing, user trials, and benchmarking to drive product reworks and ensure QA policies are implemented.
  • Manage customer complaints and queries, including product recalls and corrective actions, to maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, test houses, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuous product quality and compliance.
  • Provide technical support for import/export queries and drive product reworks to ensure QA policies are implemented.
Requirements
  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Design is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within retail, manufacturing, or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a Quality Assurance function.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU legislation, product labeling, and ethical auditing.
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a commercial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
