Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operation of our freight services, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Lead and direct a team of freight controllers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Freight Management, Loco Planning, and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage accidents and incidents, including escalation and associated paperwork.
- Perform performance monitoring and TRUST Delay Attribution, with associated reporting.
- Experience in railway operations, with a strong understanding of the rail freight industry.
- Accomplished control experience and knowledge, with the ability to think outside the box and make strong decisions.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to resolve problems.
- Leadership and management qualities, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong IT skills, with in-depth knowledge of TOPS.
