Job Title: Hygiene Shift Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hygiene Shift Manager to join our team at Taiko Foods Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Hygiene Team to ensure the completion of hygiene schedules and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the factory.
  • Implement and maintain quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards in accordance with BRC Technical Standard and company policies.
  • Support the engineering function in routine preventative maintenance and cleaning, and the production function in line set up/line start up post deep cleaning and maintenance.
  • Develop and train Hygiene Team members to maximize their potential, flexibility, and overall skill levels across the factory.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize chemical cleaning and equipment, ensuring optimum comfort in use for staff and effectiveness for the job.
  • Ensure effective communication with regards factory hygiene standards across and between shifts within the teams.
  • Respond to audit reports and corrective action summaries, ensuring work is carried out to an agreed timescale and manner.
  • Present documentation to support the Hygiene Operation, including Chemical Data Sheets, Training Records, and completion/sign off back to production records.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of customer audits/visits, ensuring the team is clear on what is required of them.
  • Support the Head of Technical as required.

  • Good understanding of the operation and products.
  • High level of reliability and flexibility is required.
  • Punctuality is essential.
  • Good command of English; sufficient to perform the job effectively.
