Job Opportunity

LeMieux is seeking a highly skilled Product Technologist to join their team in a fast-paced global equestrian company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the fit and technical process of all horse products and accessories from initial sample to delivery handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of spec sheets to ensure accurate technical attributes.
  • Lead fit sessions for relevant products, relay fit comments to suppliers, and maintain fit records.
  • Collaborate with Design to create clear technical packs, including size specs and construction details.
  • Update size specs, record comments and data, and monitor the sampling process.
  • Test report creation and approvals.
  • Maintain a physical sample library and storage.
  • Keep historic logs and accurate updates of samples status.
  • Check incoming samples for measurement and design discrepancies.
  • Assist in Quality Control, checking production/received stock for sizing and fabric consistency.
  • Daily liaison with overseas suppliers to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven industry experience in a similar role, preferably in sports/equestrian wear product development.
  • Product/Garment Technologist Qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of garment fit, technical construction, and make-up.
  • Knowledge of pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience working with overseas factories.
  • Ability to follow and manage time according to the critical path.
  • CAD skills and experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexible attitude to work, with the ability to adjust to changing business needs.
  • Ability to take initiative and assist where necessary.
  • Ability to work alone and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
