Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates Graduate Placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design products and prototypes using SolidWorks, ensuring high-quality and efficient designs.
  • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly, taking into account production timelines and resource allocation.
  • Prepare Bills of Materials, exploded drawings, and manuals, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and database usage, to support design and development processes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Pneumatic circuits and varied manufacturing techniques, including sheet metal and machining.
  • Electronic control cabinet construction and belt and pulley drive systems.
  • Conveyor construction and motor/gearbox sizing, with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
