Role Overview:

Investec Bank Plc is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join its Treasury & Trading Operations as part of the Trade & Transaction Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure complete, accurate, and timely reporting of all transactions.
  • Manage Exceptions: Handle exception management by investigating and resolving issues through effective coordination with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on various trade and transaction reporting regulations, including EMIR, Dodd Frank Act, Canadian, SFTR, and MiFID II/MIFIR.
  • Data Maintenance: Maintain essential static data required for reporting and ensure regular updates to reflect changes in market regulations or internal processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct monthly reviews and assist with third-party quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of reporting.
  • Project Involvement: Drive key projects and initiatives that increase automation and enhance the capacity within the team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in external conferences, network with peers, and keep abreast of regulatory updates.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A solid understanding of OTC and Listed derivative products and their life cycle events, with a background in Transaction Reporting experience preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a prudent decision-making ability.
  • Attention to Detail: A diligent approach to work with a very high attention to detail.
  • Proactivity: A self-starter, not afraid to challenge existing processes and drive new ideas and initiatives.
  • Technical Proficiency: PC literate with Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and good interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Recognised Transaction Reporting qualifications and knowledge of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme would be advantageous.
