About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a SEN school in Milton Keynes. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with students aged 11-19 who have SEMH needs, including those with extremely challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide essential support to students with SEN
  • Provide general and 1 to 1 support
  • Manage and support challenging behaviours with confidence and professionalism
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Assist with personal care as needed
Requirements
  • Experience in a related field (e.g., SEN schools, support work, prisons, youth offenders)
  • Experience with severely challenging behaviour and SEN including SEMH
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • A strong, confident presence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Please note that a male candidate would be preferred due to the possibility of personal care responsibilities of students, however, applicants from female are welcomed. Full right to work in the UK and high proficiency in written and spoken English are also required.
