About Arup

For over 75 years, Arup has been distinguished by its purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach, guiding our mission to shape a better world.

We have embarked on a global finance transformation initiative aimed at enhancing our operational coordination, simplifying workflows, automating processes, and improving efficiency and consistency. This initiative is designed to strengthen our control environment to meet both internal and external requirements, with sustainable development at the core of our efforts. The Group Procurement team is committed to transforming and enhancing our global operations.

The Role

We are seeking a Procurement Systems Manager to oversee and administer our procurement platform and related systems within the Group Procurement function.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the systems as outlined below. Initially, your focus will be on expanding the platform's reach by leveraging your expertise to incorporate new countries and territories as part of a global rollout. Subsequently, you will manage the system on a worldwide scale.

As the Procurement Systems Manager, your responsibilities will include making configuration adjustments, training users on the platform, collaborating closely with the vendor, managing updates, and facilitating the onboarding of new regions.

You will serve as the central point of contact for the procurement team globally regarding this essential tool.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee procurement platforms, address technical and procedural challenges, and assess vendor updates.

- Recommend system enhancements, implement configuration changes, and extend the system to new areas.

- Lead testing initiatives, train users, and guide support teams.

- Develop and maintain documentation, act as second-line support, and ensure compliance with change management protocols.

- Collaborate with technology, procurement, and legal teams, engage with vendors, and provide data for reporting and compliance purposes.

Impact

Delivering an efficient procurement system management service will strengthen relationships and ensure that system functionality aligns with strategic objectives. You will represent the team as a supportive business function, instilling robust controls and demonstrating excellence in communication and stakeholder engagement.

At Arup, we celebrate individuality and encourage diverse experiences, perspectives, and ideas to flourish.

Are You the Right Fit?

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Possess substantial experience with procurement platforms, including administrative capabilities and system configuration tailored to organizational needs. Familiarity with additional procurement platforms is a plus.
  • Have experience managing systems on a global or multi-national scale.
  • Understand robust systems change management processes and appreciate the importance of embedding these practices within an organization.
  • Have practical knowledge of procurement processes, particularly regarding supplier due diligence and compliance.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality work in this critical compliance area.
  • Are adept at collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders and can negotiate mutually beneficial solutions while engaging directly with vendors.
  • Hold a relevant qualification appropriate for the role.
