Senior Sourcing and Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sourcing and Procurement Manager to join our team at Pelsis Group. As a key member of our Supply Chain & Procurement department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect commodities to meet business objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing needs, market trends, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers to ensure the highest quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and conditions, developing cohesive strategies linking business needs to customer needs to sourcing and portfolio requirements.
- Cost Optimization and Budgeting: Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving initiatives, including value engineering and alternate sourcing strategies, developing and managing budgets related to commodity sourcing activities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier capacity, geopolitical issues, and other relevant factors, developing contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to maintain a resilient supply chain.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement and sourcing activities, staying informed about changes in regulations that may impact the sourcing and procurement process.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supplier performance, cost savings, and other relevant metrics, generating regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Leadership and Management: Excellent leadership and management through influence skills, ability to manage or work as part of a variety of cross-functional teams.
- Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware, with experience in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment, working in and on Supply Chain & Quality Assurance.
- Problem-Solving and Teamwork: Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making, with experience of dealing first-hand with customers and suppliers.
- Education and Certifications: Membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous, with significant experience in a similar role.
