Position Overview:

As a Substance Abuse Recovery Coordinator, you will be instrumental in delivering our services effectively. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assisting clients from their initial engagement with the service through their entire recovery process.
  • Conducting evaluations, assessments, and developing recovery plans, along with making necessary referrals.
  • Collaborating with clients to foster social reintegration, helping them to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-empowerment.
  • Facilitating specialized group programs or workshops tailored to address the distinct needs of our clients.
  • Engaging in close collaboration and multi-disciplinary teamwork with various professionals and partner organizations, including judicial systems, law enforcement, and probation services.
  • Encouraging involvement from caregivers, clients, and the wider community.

Candidate Profile:

We seek individuals who possess:

  • A solid understanding of substance misuse challenges and relevant experience in a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by strong IT proficiency.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently, demonstrating excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • A collaborative spirit, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to partner effectively with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • An appreciation for the significance of information governance and a commitment to uphold all necessary confidentiality measures.
