Position Overview
Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic individual? We are seeking dedicated individuals who enjoy engaging with children to take on the role of an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner at Trust Taplins Nursery.
This role offers a remarkable chance to embark on a rewarding career in Early Years education.
Role Responsibilities
You will collaborate with a supportive and experienced team, learning to deliver outstanding care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years while pursuing an Early Years Apprenticeship.
Taplins operates two state-of-the-art day nurseries designed to support our local NHS staff.

Our nurseries are operational Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, providing various shift patterns within these hours. We accommodate up to 52 children daily in our well-equipped facilities, which feature spacious outdoor areas. We pride ourselves on cultivating strong, supportive relationships with the children and families we serve.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced nursery team members to care for small groups of children.
- Learn to foster each child's development through engaging activities such as reading stories, playing, exploring nature, and creative arts.
- Complete an Early Years Apprenticeship course, providing you with a valuable qualification to launch your career.
- You should be calm, kind, and caring, with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and their families.
- Reliability and commitment are essential.
- Teamwork is crucial in our busy service, so you must be prepared to work closely with others.

Eligibility Criteria
- You may be eligible if you have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous 3 years.
- You must also have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) or have obtained pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
