Key Responsibilities
  1. Child Development and Care

Be fully responsible for the children in your care, providing a consistently safe, secure, and stimulating environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Program Development and Implementation

Design and implement a range of enjoyable, stimulating, and educational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children, aligning with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Person Role

Act as a key person for a designated group of children, building strong relationships and providing individualized support to promote their social, emotional, and academic growth.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's development, learning, and activities, ensuring that our nursery's policies and procedures are adhered to.

Support for Children with Additional Needs

Collaborate with our SENDco to provide tailored support and accommodations for children with special educational needs, ensuring their development is promoted and their well-being is prioritized.

Health and Safety

Ensure that our nursery maintains a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infection and promote a safe working environment.

Food Service and Supervision

Assist in the preparation and serving of food, as well as supervise meal times to ensure a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our children.

Teamwork and Communication

Work collaboratively with our nursery team to provide a cohesive and supportive environment, communicating effectively with colleagues, children, and families to ensure seamless care and education.

Activity Planning and Evaluation

Plan and implement a variety of fun and engaging activities that align with the Early Years curriculum, evaluating their effectiveness and making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.

Online Learning Journals

Maintain online learning journals via Tapestry, providing a comprehensive record of children's progress and development.

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.
