Join Our Team as a Nursery Practitioner
The Mulberry Bush, Bitterne Park is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to a warm, friendly, and stimulating environment that promotes emotional, social, and educational development
- Assist with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs of individual children
- Provide adult interaction and support to children in the nursery
- Adhere to our policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Support the nutritional needs of children and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Engage in a good staff team and support colleagues in their roles
- Plan and prepare activities that meet the needs of children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and our nursery's curriculum
- Supervise activities and ensure the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of individual children
- Respect the confidentiality of information received and ensure the safeguarding of children
- Be aware of the needs of children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development
- Be willing to move to other departments in the nursery to gain knowledge and experience of all age ranges
- Adhere to our child protection policy and ensure the safeguarding of children
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:
- English and Maths GCSE
The Mulberry Bush, Bitterne Park is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are required to share this commitment. All applicants invited to interview will be required to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK and complete a suitability declaration. Successful applicants will also be required to have an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- 10 hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Monday to Friday
