Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex psychological or mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver highly specialist Clinical Psychology assessment, formulation, and intervention to children and young people with complex psychological or mental health conditions.
  • Provide expert advice, clinical consultation, and training to colleagues, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Undertake specialist assessments of children, young people, and parents as required to inform applications to the Adoption Support Fund or the provision of services.
  • Be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers, and families.
  • Undertake formal research as an integral part of the job and act as field supervisor for doctorate trainees.
  • Be proactive in continual service improvement within own area.
About the Role:

This is a split post providing specialist clinical assessments with adopted children, young people, and adults known to the Regional Adoption Agency, One Adoption South Yorkshire (0.6wte) and into the Children in Care Team, Doncaster CAMHS (0.2 wte).

Person Specification:
  • Current registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
  • Post-doctoral training in attachment-based interventions.
