About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Civils Estimator to join our team at Romans Recruitment Group. As a Civils Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing tender documents, taking off and pricing from drawings, and developing whole life cycle costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of tender documents and contract terms and conditions
  • Take offs and pricing from drawings
  • Costing and developing whole life cycle costs
  • Developing sub-contract terms and conditions
  • Developing a value proposition
  • Developing tenders
  • Obtaining prices and dealing with variations
  • Attending site visits during the tender stage
  • Planning and producing product/service specifications
  • Reading technical drawings and conducting risk assessments
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Developing business cases for offsite projects
  • Providing commercial awareness and effective communication
  • Problem-solving and reporting to the Estimating Manager
  • Collaborating with the team and working to tight deadlines
