About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at The Axe, a thriving independent craft beer and food pub in Stoke Newington. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers, while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency in our menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small and friendly team of chefs to deliver a consistently excellent Sunday roast service
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and dishes, working closely with our Sous Chefs, General Manager, and Assistant General Manager
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with our team to achieve sales targets and drive business growth

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £37,000-£40,000 per annum, with a pay review after two months
  • A bonus scheme, with up to £5,000 per year paid out monthly
  • A 40-hour working week, with opportunities for extra paid days off and a cycle to work scheme
  • A 25% discount across all Graceland sites, plus a share of tips and staff drinks and food
